transmedia storytelling & creative technologies r&d
currently working with creative technologists albert barbu and thibaut evrard, on the creative use of technology in multiple platforms both digital and physical, exploring transmedia storytelling approaches: how augmented reality and different platforms can be utilised as part of the storytelling; how to activate stories with tokens; augmenting through senses like smell, touch, sound; social media as a hybrid space; digital and physical spaces and the degrees of safety they provide; passive, active and proactive interactions; story immersion.

Transmedia storytelling represents a process where integral elements of a fiction get dispersed systematically across multiple delivery channels for the purpose of creating a unified and coordinated entertainment experience. Ideally, each medium makes it own unique contribution to the unfolding of the story.

past tense story
‘past tense story’ (pts), is a transmedia storytelling project that deals with male-on-male sexual violence.
the next stage will have two focuses:
- safeguarding in artistic practice and artwork while using transmedia & ar.
- transmedia storytelling exploring how to design a transmedia experience that overcomes the complexity of “multimedia literacy”?
feeding into the creative vision with a complexity that resonates with the subject, the next stage will provide a blueprint for the production stage of pts & my future projects.
